Communication Tools
Innovative and path-breaking video-, audio- and print based tools designed
as community ice-breakers, discussion prompters, and awareness and
skill-building aids
Strategy Design & Review
Projects involving the development and design of new behaviour change
communication (BCC) and Information/Education/Communication (IEC) strategies,
tailored to the imperatives
of specific interventions and communities. Also includes needs assessment
and evaluation/review consultancies of communication plans, strategies and communication components
Training & Capacity building
Projects involving training and capacity building on HIV, Reproductive and
Sexual Health (RSH), BCC, communication and radio and video technology at
the policy or
project management level, as well as at the grassroot level.
Communication Research
Projects involving research on Knowledge/Attitude/Practice (KAP) of
addressed communities; impact assessment of communication materials or
interventions; the development of
innovative action research and
ethnographic research techniques for application to communication-for
development related interventions
Community Media and Technology
Access
Projects involving support and training for community driven and maintained
media and communication processes; and the creation of new media outlets for
communities
in information shadow areas, especially through access to innovative
communication technologies.
Documentation & Photographic support
Projects involving project documentation, narrative and visual coverage of
interventions, projects or development related performance art. Also
includes photographic and written inputs
into educational materials and
textbooks.
As part
of its continued involvement in the Community Radio (CR) movement in
India, Ideosync - in collaboration with the CR Forum, One
World South Asia, Mountain Forum Himalayas and Jagori -
conducted orientation and capacity building
workshops on CR
in Dharamshala (H.P.) and Dehradun
(Uttarakhand)in October 2007.
