N.Ramakrishnan Director of Projects
A mass communication professional with a Masters degree in Mass
Communication from the Mass Communication Research Center (MCRC), Jamia
Millia Islamia University, New Delhi, Ram’s work with Ideosync has centered
on development communication policy design, communication needs
identification, and communication strategy design. Ram was responsible for
the design and development of Ideosync’s acclaimed sex education initiative
for young people in South Asia,
Growing Up. He is also
a
cinematographer, editor and director; and conducts workshops on community
radio, developmental filmmaking and low cost radio and video technology.
Venu Arora Director of Projects
Also a mass communication professional with a Masters degree in Mass
Communication from the Mass Communication Research Center (MCRC), Jamia
Millia Islamia University, New Delhi, Venu is a specialist in the design,
execution
and implementation of integrated communication support plans for
multi-sectoral development initiatives. After a two year stint with the UNDP
REACH programme
as Communications Officer, Venu is currently on special
assignment as Regional Coordinator (South Asia) for the Equal Access Digital
Broadcast initiative (DBI).
She has
also received the MacArthur
Fellowship for Leadership Development (FLD) (2002); and has completed the Advances
in Health Communication course conducted by the Johns Hopkins University/Bloomberg
School of Public Health.
Sanjeev Kumar Verma Project
Coordinator
With a Masters degree in the Social Sciences and a Post Graduate Diploma in Rural
Management, Sanjeev has extensive experience in organizing and coordinating
capacity building programmes, workshops and training processes. He has
organized and implemented programmes on literacy, employment generation,
non-formal education, poverty alleviation and livelihood generation; and has
hands-on field experience working directly with communities and youth
groups.
Anisha Gupta Programme Officer
Anisha graduated in Economics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, and did her
Master’s in Mass Communication from Symbiosis Institute of Mass
Communication. After a professional stint in scripting and direction for
mainstream media, she moved to communication in the development sector. She
has worked on a variety of education related issues, including a countrywide
campaign to advocate for a wider choice of schools for the economically
weaker sections of society; and is currently responsible for managing
Ideosync's safe migration and HIV related programme, New Voices.
Naba Kishore Sarangi Radio Editor
An audio engineer with a post Graduate Diploma from the Biju Pattnaik Film &
Television Institute of Orissa, Naba Kishore is responsible for the
technical work on Ideosync’s radio and audio programming. With a number of
credits as a sound recordist and sound engineer in the professional music
recording, film and dubbing industry, he is responsible for recording and
editing Ideosync’s radio programmes on safe migration - Sheher Ki Ore
and Desh Pardesh – as well as Ideosync’s 52 episode radio series on
HIV awareness, Nayee Disha. Kishore is also currently working as part
of the training team on Ideosync’s community radio initiatives, training
community groups in the essentials of recording and editing radio programmes.
Aarti Talwar
Research Associate
Aarti has a
degree in Biology from MD University, Rohtak; and a Post Graduate Diploma in
Health Management from the Institute of Health Management Research (IHMR)
Jaipur. She specializes in research on health and health initiatives, and
was part of the IHMR team that was responsible for the evaluation of the
Indian National AIDS Control Plan Phase II. At Ideosync, Aarti is
responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of the research
components of its communication interventions.
Nabin Chandra Pradhan
Nepali Field Producer
With a background in journalism and print design, Nabin freelances with
Ideosync as a field producer on its cross border communication projects with
partner organizations in Nepal. Currently, he is responsible for the field
production and recording of the documentary components of Ideosync's radio
programme on safe migration for Nepali migrants, Desh Pardesh. Nabin
works full time with Studio Lynx, a design and graphics studio also based in
the NCR of Delhi.
